“ANDREA SCHIAVI PRINTING AND ART PRINT MAKING MUSEUM, LODI

Via della Costa, 4

The Museum, which extends over about 2,000 square metres, retraces the history of printing through the centuries and presents visitors with numerous items brought back to working condition by skilful restoration. The educational workshops (paper-making by hand; composition with movable type; transformation of paper into books and notebooks) for children (from primary to secondary school) are designed to give an in-depth understanding of ancient printing and binding techniques, a significant heritage of human inventiveness.

CABRINIANO MUSEUM, CODOGNO

The museum is located in the house where the Saint founded the Institute of Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  Visitors can see the room still furnished with its original furniture, a display case of reliquaries, the documentation of miracles and grace received and a collection of handwritten texts.

RADIO MUSEUM

The museum, established in 2013 in Montanaso Lombardo, houses a collection of about 400 examples of various types of radio, including the period radios, Fantasy, Novelty and Vintage, dating from the Twenties to the Nineties.

Set up by keen radio amateurs, the Museum aims to portray the evolution over time of this means of communication by making it available to schools and organized groups.

“THE WORLD IN A NATIVITY SCENE” MUSEUM, SALERANO SUL LAMBRO

In the evocative setting of the Cascina Vistarina, the collection presents over two hundred nativity scenes from around the world. A new way to discover the world through portrayals of the Nativity; each scene depicts the landscapes, uses, costumes and traditional objects of the country of provenance. Visitors can admire nativity scenes from Europe, Asia, Japan, Africa, China and the Americas. The whole world is represented.

BIRTHPLACE OF ST. FRANCESCA CABRINI, SANT’ANGELO LODIGIANO

The house has now been transformed into a small museum where everything is a reminder of the Saint’s work. Visitors will find themselves captivated by the simplicity of a late 19th century council house. Memories of the Saint are embodied in her personal objects and the Cabriniano Documentation Centre which houses books, documents and multimedia videos.

TOY MUSEUM

The museum offers visitors an original historical perspective of toys of the past through an inspiring display.  Surrounded by the magical atmosphere of the Museum, visitors can retrace the evolution of toys and learn about the historical and social value of play over the last three centuries. The exhibits are arranged to provide for two types of tour, with the first being historical and illustrating the transition from the handmade to the romantic toy, the golden age of toys, toys between the two wards and the leap towards the future of the Fifties.  The themed tour, on the other hand, takes visitors on the discovery of toys for girls, toys for war, circus and theatre games, and finally “fun science” educational toys.
